Wicomico County Humanitarian Award for work done in flood relief assistance.
Wicomico County Perfect Attedance sence Date of Hire (June 1993)
Correctional Employee of the year from Maryland Correctional Administrators Acco.
Law Enforcment Officer of the year from the Salisbury optimus club.

Master Correctional Officer ( 1993 - date ) Wicomico County Department of Corrections.
Correctional Officer,  Field Training Officer,  E.R.T. / TAC Officer,
 Fire Safety Officer,  Transport and weapons certified, Red Cross Volinteer and instructor, D.A.I. for the Maryland Commission on Correctional Standards and Notary.

Security Officer ( 1988 - 1993 )
Phelps Protection Systems
Contract Security, Site Management, Internal investigations, Personal and site security functions.

Special Police Officer ( 1998 - 1991 )
Commissioned by The State of Maryland for The Rouse Corp.
Law Enforcement duties and jurisdiction on all properties from Columbia, Baltimore, to Easton Maryland and in between. Primary duties included but were not limited general protection of property and tenants, oversite of the security of retail propery, assistance the drug enforcement arrests with Anne Arundel Co. Police in areas of joint jurisdiction.

U.S. Army Military Police Corps ( 1984 - 1988 )
Trianed in both Police combat and civilian functions.
POW, radar, undercover and phyisical drug enforcement, assisted in the training of drivers on anti terrorist and tactical maneuvers, patrol supervisor duties, and classified duties.

Became the Fire Safety Officer for the institution. Certified through the Maryland Training Commission in Woodstock, MD

Obtained my certification as an American Red Cross Instructor and have been teaching CPR, First Aid and AED ever sence.
 
February 2007
Finished in the top ten of the class, Supervisor School, began teaching at Wor Wic Community Collage, Criminal Justice Academy.
 
May 12th 2007
After 23 years of being in a uniform I now wear kaki's and a polo shirt. I am now the CSCA, for short Standards Coordinator
 
Febuary 2008 completed Maryland Police and Correctional Training Centers Firearms Instuctors School.

To Date:        Continuing education and trianing threw American Correctional Association and Maryland Criminal Justice Association



Volunteer Experience:
North Carolina Flood Relief (see photos)

Notary Public for Wicomico County, Serving both staff and inmates. (no charge to inmates)                                                
Dorchester County Dept. Of Corrections Officers Christmas Relief Program.

Just about anything needed, if I don't know it Im not afraid to try and learn it.

Assist with Institutional Tours to include K-9 Demonstrations.

Assist in various duties at Eastern Shore
Criminal Justice Academy to include instruction in
the Conflict Resolution Module and Dill and Ceremonies.

A primary member of the Employee Incentive Committee, serving both employees and the community of Wicomico County.
